How to create a sense of belonging and positive culture shift for burnt out academic advisors
During the session, we will share our successes of providing our academic advisors with the tools and onboarding experience they deserve. By using various venues, our institution has implemented a successful culture of training, development, and informal activities for welcoming new academic advisors into our division and maintaining morale for current academic advisors. We continue to find ways to engage academic advisors and other staff in our division toward job satisfaction and continuous professional development. During the session, we will share our "wins" and ask participants to share strategies they've incorporated into their academic advising offices. Attendees will learn how to incorporate simple strategies and events into their workplace to create a positive environment for new and existing staff. |
