Abstract:
|
Last year, our school resolved to be more openly committed to wider concepts of diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) for students. Our goal has been to build community and demonstrate school commitment to DEI concepts, while also inviting students to share the ideas and perspectives on these topics with us and each other. In this session, we will look at the theoretical frameworks that guided our approach to diversity, equity, and inclusion programming at our business school. We will look at the careful way we share responsibility for DEI programming with our students. Audience members should leave with an understanding of how robust, relevant, and intentional DEI programming can look within a higher education setting, and a concrete set of ways bring concepts from our presentation and model in to their own contexts. |
