Abstract:
|
Medical students preparing for Step 1 face challenges with performance anxiety, academic readiness, and navigating institutional requirements. However, data from recent medical school cohorts reveals that CBSE readiness-not Step 1 itself-is the biggest barrier to progression. This session introduces the 'Green Light' framework, a structured, data-driven advising model designed to help students navigate these hurdles. Participants will explore how early academic performance indicators (M1 GPA, early CBSE exams) predict Step 1 readiness and learn strategies for integrating practice exam tracking, cognitive reframing, and mental wellness approaches into advising. Through case studies and interactive discussions, attendees will examine ways to balance institutional policies with student support. By blending performance analytics with student-centered advising, this session provides a comprehensive roadmap for helping students succeed in high-stakes medical exams. |
